Transgender - Putting the T back in LGBT

That’s “The Peach”. She’s pretty cool. I know this will get people “thinking” given the topic but no, she’s not transgendered.

So I guess beatings are permitted as long as you are “right”? If the person was stabbed or cut, would that be permissible? Or only being beaten into convulsions? Man of God my ass.

What an asshole he is. And his assumption that a transgendered person would sexually assault teen girls is assine as well. Way to go, Fischer, you sound more like the Taliban every time I hear you speak.

No I would say it proves you are a hateful douchebag and unfortunately you are rubbing off on others

hahaha no bible! Bible? These are master manipulators. The Bible is just another wrench to these guys, to tune the media and the sheep.

This guy is as Christian as Hitler. As catholic as the Klan. it’s all makeup, it’s all mirrors. if you want to know what an American Quaddafi would look like, he looks like this guy. An America Bin laden? He’ll resemble Bryan Fischer.

Was that the assumption? Or was the assumption that people (teens or not) having contact with transgendered person is somehow corrupting in some way. Either assumption is despicable.

AND is he implying that the beating was OK because this was a man, not a woman? Again, despicable. Doesn’t matter. The beating was vicious and contemptible, and incredibly brutal, and wrong all the way around.

Totally disgusting.

And while we’re at it: Don’t forget, boys and girls, bathrooms are our last line of defense against…ummmmm….er….something or other

What is with this bathroom fetish anyway?

One of the recurring issues with the Right is their warped revenge fantasies; whether it’s punishing people for sex, being the wrong color, being poor, the wrong religion, or the wrong sexual orientation.

Many Years ago I played pool on a league, and my partner was a transsexual (male to female). Wonderful person. Outrageously funny, intelligent, well dressed, well spoken, and a helluva pool player. Many of her friends, and my friends by association, were also GBLT. Within that group, I can’t think of anyone I wouldn’t trust in a restroom - male or female. These people are not opportunistic lurkers, itching to violate you saintly fundie sonsabitches, or anyone else, for that matter.

To think some asshole thug would physically BEAT any one of those people is repellent, disgusting, sickening, and an indication of deep seated rage and detachment from reality. It is unconscionable. What Bryan Fischer thinks is a perfectly acceptable “reaction” is quite unacceptable.

All I can say to such sick people is watch out. The next GLBT person you decide to give a beatdown in the rest room may have friends. Like me. And we don’t take kindly to watching perfectly harmless and decent people beaten by the likes homophobic fucks like you.

You know, I could give quite a lot of direct analogies here (correct ones!) to statements made in the 1930s and 40s that the degradation and mistreatment of Jews “proved” that the Nazis had been right about them. It was a popular commonplace; it appears mostly in casual remarks, in literature, not in the statements of public figures.

Disgusting, either way.

i saw this coming. the initial video was horrific when they thought it was a white woman being beaten. then they find out it’s a transgender person being beaten and it is being portrayed as self-defense or at the very least they think the transgender person got what they had coming. wtf.

14 Simply Sarah  Tue, Apr 26, 2011 11:35:44am

I apologize for the rambling nature of the rant below. Things kept coming as I was writing and I’m too mad at this to edit properly…

Some of the mistreatment of transgendered people comes from the same place as mistreatment of gays and lesbians (Or any other group, really): The real problem with an LGBT person isn’t that they actually have something wrong with them, it’s that they don’t (Obviously, this may vary depending on the actual individual). People are comfortable in their nice, simple heterosexual gender binary world and anything that challenges that embraced fiction needs to go or, at least, needs to clearly be abnormal and sub-human.

To them, it’s easy to be dismissive of these, in their eyes, freaks so long as they know their place and hide in the gutter. Any of them that decide they’re a person just like anyone else, however, can’t just be ignored. No, they need to be put back into line, rather than risk others getting the same idea. This is goes double for transsexuals and quadruple for MTFs.

Why are transsexuals so much worse to someone like Fischer? Why does he feel the need to illogically insist the victim is a man? This is where another major source of hatred comes from: Reproduction.

To those people who see the main (or only) value of a woman being that she can give birth to and raise children, transsexuals are abhorrent. MTFs cannot carry children and, therefore, have no worth and cannot be female, as what use is a female that cannot have babies? What’s worse, they throw away their manly responsibility to get women knocked up and lower themselves down to the level of a lowly female. And on top of that, they mislead and trap proper men into unnatural relationships under the guise of being a woman. This makes them cowards and freaks and weaklings and monsters that should be shunned and destroyed.

And FTMs? Those tend to be treated slightly better, depending. At first glace, they’re just women that have forgotten their place and desire to pull themselves up to the level of men. Clearly, this is wrong, but as long as they can still carry babies, they can be mostly forgiven for their sins. Those fools that sterilize themselves, however, almost must be totally cast out as freaks.

I have to say I don’t really understand being transgendered. I know there are children born with indeterminate genitalia and what not. And I can see where you can be attracted to people of the same or the opposite sex. I don’t get feeling like you’re the wrong sex.
However, I’m not going to tell someone else how they feel, and I can’t really see why its threatening to me, my family, my identity, whatever.

I wish the religious right would stop trying to decrease the general level of happiness in this country and find a new hobby.

Opps. I didn’t know you already had this up before I just posted on it.

Good catch :)

It isn’t really easy for those of us who are trans to explain it. The subject is pretty opaque.

I can well imagine that it is. And it’s not my place (or anyone else’s) to tell you how you feel about it.
